Wai Yee graduated in 1994, with a Diploma in Building Management from Ngee Ann Polytechnic and had completed her degree in Real Estate Managment with Oxford Brookes University.

Upon graduation, she pursued her interest in valuation with Benchmark Real Estate Pte Ltd as Valuation Officer. She handled mainly HDB mortgage valuations and was also involved in the valuation for HDB Selective En-Bloc Redevelopment Scheme for the Depot Road site. Apart from these, she was also required to do open market valuations of HDB flats that JTC intended to buy and also under the HDB Buy-Back Scheme. During her fourth year in Benchmark Real Estate Pte Ltd, she was promoted to Senior Valuation Officer.

She continued her valuation career in CKS Property Consultants Pte LTd as Senior Valuation Officer. In her capacity as a Senior Valuation Officer at CKS Property Consultants Pte Ltd, her main responsibilities include carrying out valuations for various types of properties. Apart from the HDB mortgage valuations, she had the opportunity to do valuations of residential properties (eg, condominiums, terraces, semi-detached), commercial properties (eg, office, shops, shop-house) as well as flatted factories. In addition, she was required to give indicative values of properties to financial institutions. In October 2000, she was promoted to the position of Valuer.

The wide exposure to the various types of valuations had enabled Wai Yee to gain precious experience. Besides her normal works scope, she also participated in the marketing of the new Internet and WAP valuation serviceswhich, CKS had launched in 2000. She was subsequently promoted to Assistant Manager in CKS.

Wai Yee is now with Realty International Associates Pte Ltd as a senior manager. Her main responsibilities include marketing valuation services and giving indications to various financial institutions. She also does valuations of various types of properties.
